This gym is a great clean facility! Open 24/7 and has great equipment. If I didn’t move to New Hampshire I would still be a member . From what I hear the gym down the street from EDge doesn’t even have paper towels to wipe the machines down . If you live in Dracut or the surrounding towns this is the gym to join !
February 13, 2022Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Awesome place! Clean, everyone is very friendly, and the equipment is top notch. Highly recommend this place over any other gym in the area.
June 20, 2021As a woman, going to a gym can be intimidating. But EDGE is totally different than other gyms I've been to. This one is clean, everyone is very focused on their workout and yet friendly and accepting of whatever your fitness level. I have spoken with the owner many times and he is always very professional, super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything to do with diet and exercise. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could, EDGE is a great place to workout!!

Love this place. Been coming here for years.. I have never seen more than 5 people in here at once. If you want a private gym with all the free weights your heart desires, come to Edge.
April 23, 2018Went to Edge fitness for a little bit over a year (would have stayed if i didn't have to relocate for a job). Paul has all the equipment necessary to train effectively including an olympic lifting bar and olympic plates which you won't find in any nearby gyms. Very fair price for the best gym you're gonna get in the area.
September 16, 2019Highly recommend EDGE to anyone considering moving away from commercial gyms. Paul and his team have set up a well-designed gym space catering to all of your fitness needs and wants. Members are friendly and courteous as well, which speaks volumes to the community that Paul has built at his gym. Cannot praise this gym enough for the quality of equipment, attention to detail, and welcoming atmosphere maintained by a local family.

Edge is a unique gym. The members are friendly but not intrusive, you don't realize how superior the equipment is until you use it and compare it to the other mass marketed gyms. Paul is an observant and knowledgeable trainer. The business is run with integrity.
March 20, 2019I have been a member of Edge 24 Hour Private Fitness for about 3 years and it is by far the best gym I've ever been to. The gym has every piece of top quality equipment you could possibly need for strength training and everything is in great condition. The gym is well laid out and there are never more than 5-10 people in the gym at once (many times I'm there alone). And you can't beat the 24/7/365 time open. The owner Paul is extremely friendly and even works out at the gym himself. He provides personal training at the gym and is extremely well informed when it comes to fitness. Overall, there really isn't anything to complain about. It's a great place to exercise for all ages/genders.

I hesitate to write this review only because I'd really like to keep it secret. I've worked out here for just about a year and it's easily 5 stars. It has everything you need to get into the best shape of your life, or, maybe you just want a moment to yourself, 85% of the time I come here, I'm the only one in the gym. I've emailed the owners several times about various things and received responses sometimes moments later. All of these issues, no matter how trivial, were met with a kind response and taken care of almost immediately. The gym itself is spotless. Originally, my first impression was it's to small, but after working out in the gym, the owners, clearly carefully planned out exactly where everything should go. Another reason why I joined here was, because the other gym I went to only went to 75lb dumbells and I wanted to lift heavier, that's not an issue here. I haven't had a better way or a better place to start my day in years. That's really all I have.
September 9, 2019Joined back in February. My boyfriend had been going here for two year and loves it. I decided to join so I could have a gym buddy that would go consistently with me. I'm so happy I joined. I love the smallness of the gym and I'm happy to be part of a gym where the people that are there are there to better themselves for the long run instead of a new year resolution like others.
April 19, 2018I've been a member of Edge for around six years. It is a night and day difference especially when you compare it to any of the other gyms in the area. Its amazing to be able to go literally whenever you want and get a great workout in. The equipment is perfectly suited my needs as it should be for anybody who's been in a gym before and knows what they're doing. If you're looking for a mess of useless machines with cushy handles or spend more time on your phone than training this gym isn't for you. The members are all friendly and respectful and people actually rack their weights and practice gym etiquette here which is extremely rare these days. I've talked with Paul the owner many times over the years and you can tell he takes a great deal of pride in his gym, he even reached out to me on Christmas to wish me happy holidays. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Some coaches say, “Success is 80% nutrition, and 20% training” – those are the coaches that still have MUCH TO LEARN. You CAN out-train a bad diet. But, why would you intentionally make the process more difficult for yourself? A custom eating plan will be developed as part of your program with the most important factor in mind: sustainability.
AFFORDABILITY
The biggest misconception about personal training is that it is too expensive. The truth is, a little instruction can go a long way towards saving you MUCH wasted TIME and ENERGY – two of the most valuable commodities you possess.

I would like to start by saying that I was an amazing athlete my whole life. I danced for 7 years, 6 days a week, and also fit in time to cheer-lead for some of those years. In high school, I decided to dedicate myself to the cheer-leading team full time and I was a flyer for 4 years (2 seasons out of each year).
Needless to say, I thought I had peaked early when I let myself go for a few years after I graduated. I went from 100 lbs of pure muscle to 118 lbs (at my heaviest) with what felt like no muscle on my body. I had lost all my muscle tone and had no strength left.
Until I met Coach Paul NEWT.
Paul trained me for 3 months and I had instant results. I felt the fat melt off my body and saw muscle tone grow daily. I am proud to say that I weigh a tight and toned 105 lbs and can now do things that I never thought I’d be able to achieve. I recently climbed Mt. Lafayette, which is the 2nd highest mountain in NH!
I feel great and I eat right and I owe it all to Paul. He is not only a great trainer but an amazing motivator. I couldn’t have done it alone and I’m happy that he was there to show me the potential I have inside.
Thanks Paul.

While you can’t put a price on what a good personal trainer can teach you, if you are not willing to dedicate the time to training, then you’re just fooling yourself. If a trainer tells you to warm up on the treadmill, or worse — the elliptical machine, then run — don’t walk out of that gym. We all walk everyday, yet we’re still fat. So, why would a trainer tell me to hit the treadmill?
We all hear, “20 minutes a day for 30 days and I lost 20 lbs”… BS I say. Be honest, do you really think those rock hard bodies that you see in the commercials are a result of 20 minutes a day? That’s why I like Paul’s approach: he has that same no-BS attitude and calls people out on it.
I have been going to Edge 24 Hour Private Fitness since February 2013 and at my peak I lost over 40 pounds. Now, I have been building muscle and improving my workout regimen with Paul’s help, particularly with the proper technique for Olympic Lifts and split routines based on the Push/Pull method that allow me to rest my muscles and train more often.
Nutrition and diet are the backbone of a good training routine. In addition, communication between trainer and trainee is crucial. That’s why I’ve seen such positive results in my workout. Yes, it takes an intense personal commitment to want to lose weight and incorporate a healthy attitude, but a personal trainer like Paul makes it all possible.

Training with Paul Newt has transformed my body as well as my mind. Never have I seen or experienced such attention to detail that he applies to my individual needs and goals. The only regret I have is not finding him sooner. He has totally reset my mindset as to how I approach training. He genuinely invests in you, and that in itself is hard to find! What he has taught me and continues to teach me, I have realized I apply to so much more than just training. He has shown me I am capable of so much more than I thought, and gives me tools to reach goals I never even knew I had!

I come from a very athletic and physical background. I was a three sport athlete in high school (football, basketball, lacrosse) and went on to play football at the collegiate level. When not training with my team, I would work out in your typical commercial gym with a standard training program. After college, I continued my training and felt it was going okay, but knew I wanted more results, I wanted to be bigger, and stronger. I began training with Paul, and to be honest, I thought I was in pretty good shape at the time, boy was I wrong. After just a few short weeks I realized that I was not even close to my maximum potential, and had some tough days ahead of me. Paul changed the way I viewed training. It became more than just lifting weights. My diet, my organizational structure, what I was doing in the gym, when, and how are just some samples of the topics covered by Paul. I grew from approx. 220lbs to approx. 295lbs over the course of 3 years. The entire time I stood at 6’5″ and remained around 8% body fat. And to put it lightly, I was as strong as a BULL!! Soon after, I decided to fulfill my lifelong desire to join the… READ MORE

I hired Paul as my personal trainer back in March, 2011.
I played soccer at a highly competitive level until my fifth knee surgery took me in a completely different direction. Along the way, in simple terms, I let myself go and threw myself into my career. I was not working out, watching my nutrition intake, or going out much with friends: all things in which I used to take great pride in while I was playing soccer.
I decided it was time for a change. Within a month and a half of training with Paul I took my jeans out of the dryer, put them on, and they fell off! If you are of the female gender, you understand how amazing this feels! Six months later, I am down four pant sizes and I have more self confidence and more pride in myself than ever before.
Paul is encouraging and motivational rather than pushy and demanding. I actually looked forward to my training sessions at Edge. I am truly grateful to Paul for his exercise and nutrition advice; his program works and not only for one’s physical appearance but also for one’s overall health and well-being.
Thank you so much Paul!

My name is Brandon “The Real Deal” Locke and I am training to become a professional wrestler… I have always been interested in working out and improving my body. I have worked out and created my own diet based on knowledge I have received from reading books and magazines. I have been weightlifting for about 10 years now. I had made improvements on my own, but just could not get to the elite level I needed to be to compete… At this point, I decided to seek the help of a professional to see if I could reach new goals. I was seeking a trainer that could not only help me put on muscle, but also help me look lean. I hired Paul in June of 2009. At the time I met with Paul, I weighed 190lbs. The first time I met with Paul, I thought I knew everything about body building and dieting, but I was wrong. Paul changed everything I did. He gave me a new…READ MORE
