insanity
(in-san-i-ty) n.
1. doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result
2. utter folly; stupidity
Like trying to get more quality sleep by staying up late all week watching television.
Like trying to stop drinking alcohol by going to a nightclub on the weekend with your friends.
Like paying $49-150 per month to attend the same type of “fitness” class you chronically skipped, or sat through refusing to participate, in high school.
Like trying to get in shape by going to a “fitness” center that offers you free pizza, bagels, and tootsie rolls.
Here’s a fun fact – did you know that to burn off the calories from a single slice of pizza you would need to walk 2 miles on the treadmill. That is approximately 35 minutes spent walking on the treadmill, just to burn off a single slice of pizza.
Here’s another fun fact – nobody gets fit and healthy by going to one of these “10 bucks a month” fitness clubs. Sure,
if you’re just trying to quiet your conscience by simply paying for a gym membership, but never going, “
10 bucks a month”
clubs are great.
But maybe you have more respect for yourself than that. Maybe, you have higher aspirations than that. If so, you should think about belonging to a REAL GYM, like
Edge 24 Hour Private Fitness.
EDGE 24 Hour Private Fitness (@edge24hourgym) has been here since 2004, quietly and consistently improving our facility and improving peoples’ lives by providing an absolutely fantastic place to have the best workouts of your life. Oh, and we don’t try to sabotage your progress by tempting you with free pizza.
